Bleu Foret

In 1994, Jacques Marie - previously CEO of a large textile group - took over, on a personal basis, this very old weaving and knitting factory, which was due to close. Near Epinal, the factory is located in Vagney, on the edge of the Vosges National Park, bordered by the Moselotte river.

Jacques Marie's project was to manufacture quality socks made of natural fibres (combed cotton, Scottish yarn, wool, etc.), which, in an era of unbridled globalization, was a challenge. This was made possible by the total restructuring of the production tool, technical innovation, and flawless logistics.  This was all done while maintaining a workforce of 200 people.

25 years later, the brand, emblematic of "Made in France", has become the leading national producer of top-of-the-range socks and tights.
