Once upon a time...

Since opening our first store in 1993, the idyllic seaside resort of Hornbæk, known for its unique forests and raw beaches, it has been a constant source of inspiration for the ILSE JACOBSEN HORNBÆK universe. Through the years, the company has grown rapidly both at home and abroad, where several of the world's leading department stores has included our brand in their range, which is now sold in almost 30 countries across the world.

The company's DNA and products are based on Ilse's upbringing and life in her beloved Hornbæk, located in Northern Zealand. Hornbæk, with its relaxed atmosphere in scenic surroundings close to forest, water and beach, is popular with the many thousands of tourists who visit the city during the summer months.
